Early Career Researchers and Scientific Collaboration

Strengthening Scientific Collaborations at the BHT

The Berliner Hochschule für Technik (BHT) is establishing several interdisciplinary collaborative research units within it's research strategy, City of the Future, aiming towards advancing and developing new research areas.

Two collaborative research units started in 2020 at the BHT: DataSciences+X and HARMONIK (Humanoid Robotics and Human-Machine Interaction).

The Centre for Early Career Researchers and Scientific Collaborations supports the interdisciplinary work of these collaborative research units.

Promoting Early Career Researchers at the BHT

During the last years the number of doctoral students at the BHT is constantly increasing. In order to support the qualification of these early career researchers, the BHT awards doctoral scholarships twice a year to talented young academics and provides professors with positions for early career reasearchers in their groups.

Cooperative doctoral studies at the BHT are supported and promoted by the Centre for Early Career Researchers and Scientific Collaboration running a doctoral office and the BHT graduate school.

In the doctoral office, the administrative and financial support of early career researchers at the BHT is organised, as well as supervision and counselling. Doctoral students, those interested in doctoral studies and professors are advised.

The BHT graduate school is open to all doctoral students working at the BHT, offering transferable skills training and networking events.
