BIM English
Building Information Modeling with Revit Software (English)
This course is taught entirely in English. The same course is also available in German (Link)
Building Information Modeling (BIM) captures and connects all essential information about a construction project within a central digital model.
Everyone involved gets real-time access to the latest project data, enabling teams to simulate design alternatives, compare solutions, and collaborate efficiently throughout the planning and construction process.
BIM is increasingly established across the construction industry and already a mandatory requirement for many public procurement projects in a growing number of countries.
Master the fundamentals of BIM and transform the way you plan and build!
Our BIM Revit course gives you the practical expertise to apply BIM effectively, alongside a clear understanding of relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards.
Put your BIM knowledge into practice through hands-on exercises with Autodesk Revit!
As part of a virtual project team, you will gain hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit by:
- Creating floor plans, modeling building elements such as walls, windows, roofs, and façades.
- Performing clash detection to identify and resolve conflicts between building components and disciplines.
- Developing and presenting design concepts, producing 2D documentation, and exporting project data for further use.
| Duration | 2 months |
| Start | Annually in October |
| Dates | 27 Oct - 08 Dec 2026 |
| Schedule | 12 sessions, Tuesdays and Thursdays |
| Time | 4:00 - 7:15 p.m. (CET) |
| Format | Online |
| Certificate | Certificate issued by Berliner Hochschule für Technik (BHT) |
| Admission Requirements | Basic knowledge of construction or architecture |
| Course fee | € 1,750 (VAT exempt) |
| Optional additional certification | buildingSMART Professional Certification - Foundation Level |
| Fee for the optional buildingSMART exam | € 357 (including 19% VAT) |
At the beginning of the course, you will receive access to the digital learning platform Moodle. This platform is used for communication and the exchange of information between lecturers and participants.
Twelve live sessions are scheduled. These sessions take place online and combine theoretical input with practical exercises.
Each session consists of 2 teaching units (TU) covering the topics “BIM Theory and Application” and 2 TU of "Practical exercises using Autodesk Revit".
To obtain the BHT certificate, participants may take an optional test at the end of the course to demonstrate their practical application skills with Autodesk Revit.
In addition, participants have the opportunity to take the buildingSMART exam “Professional Certification – Foundation” (exam fee charged separately).
The curriculum is based on international standards, in particular ISO 19650.
The programme is aligned with the Learning Outcome Framework (LoF) of buildingSMART International and prepares participants for the buildingSMART Professional Certification – Foundation Level
